New York City: South Street Seaport Museum

The original document sometimes referred to as “New York’s birth certificate” which notes one of the best real estate deals of all time – the purchase of Manhattan for goods worth 60 guilders – highlights the major, new exhibit “New Amsterdam: The Island at the Center of the World,” which will open on Sunday, September 13th at the South Street Seaport Museum, located at 12 Fulton Street (between Front Street and Water Street) in Manhattan.
